Here is what to expect when you come in for your appointment:
History
Your doctor will record
a detailed account of your foot problems.
Exam
A thorough clinical examination
including both weight-bearing
and non-weight-bearing
tests will be performed to examine
the way your foot functions as you walk.
X-rays
A number of x-rays will be taken to complete the
evaluation.Weight will be placed on the foot during
x-rays to correctly assess the bunion and stresses
on the joints.

After obtaining all of this information,
a treatment plan will be developed. The treatment may be
conservative, biomechanical
and/or surgical, depending
on your particular problem, past medical history and lifestyle.
