A preoperative
x-ray with a template
that we construct to allow us to
determine if
this is the correct
procedure for the patient, and if so,
exactly where
the bone should be
broken
and how much of a wedge of
bone should be
removed
This shows you how we use a special caliper to
duplicate the
measurements we obtained from the preoperative template
and
put those
measurements on the actual bone to be cut
These are examples of how we use intraoperative
fluoroscopy to make certain that
the final alignment of the bone cuts
and screw fixation is correct while the patient
is still under anesthesia
in the operating room
